This summer Bristol Print Room's Steph Renshaw is teaming up with Catherine Williams from Ridgeway Studios to bring you a range of fabulous summer workshops and print taster sessions!
4th August: Make your own ink stamp!
Every Thursday In August
10am - 12pm and 1pm - 3pm
Come and learn linocut printing techniques and make your own ink stamp!
This is a great way to learn linocut, make repeat patterns, decorate wrapping paper design greetings cards and be able to continue printing at home with minimum space, equipment and effort!
11th August: Colourful Collagraph taster session
Come and find out how this amazing print technique works and take home your own colourful, textural prints!
This is a really fun experimental approach to printmaking and you'll be amazed by the stirking results
18th August: Experimental Drypoint
Try this very distinct and tactile process. Create marks by distressing the plate with a range of tools and then learn how to ink up the plate and use the press to print the impression. If you like line, this is the process for you!
25th August Botanical Printmaking
As we'll be holding these workshops in the lovely garden of Ridgeway Studios, we'll be using nature as our muse and our print making material! We'll show you how you can pick up and preserve in print form the amazing detail in plants, creating beautifully intricate prints of leaves and grasses.
Who are the tutors?
Steph Renshaw Printmaker
Bristol Print Room's own tutor Steph Renshaw Printmaker is teaming up with her friendly neighbours at Ridgeway Studios. All these summer workshops will be held up the road from Bristol Print Room in Ridgeway Studios lovely garden space. We'll be under cover so no worries about the weather and we will provide teas and coffee's to fuel your creativity!
Catherine Williams Printmaker
Ridgeway Studios resident Printmaker will be teaming up with Steph to introduce, demonstrate and assist your creative printmaking experience. Both printmaking tutors have very independent styles and specialisms. Combined they will make a great team. They will draw you in and leave you wanting to explore further.
